Meet Rebecca

Hi, I'm Rebecca! The heart behind MamaB's Doula Services.

I'm a wife, a mom of three, and a birth doula who is passionate about helping families feel informed, supported, and confident throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

My journey to becoming a doula began with my own birth experiences. All three of my children were born by cesarean after inductions for going past my due date. My first birth was especially long and difficult. I labored for 58½ hours after being induced before ultimately having a cesarean. My recovery was also more challenging than I expected, as my incision was made higher than what is typical, affecting my abdominal and back muscles and making the healing process difficult.

But one of the biggest things I took away from my birth experiences was realizing how much I didn't know.

Before my first birth, I wasn't really educated about what labor could look like, what options I had, or the different tools and comfort measures that could help me through labor. I didn't know what questions to ask or that I had choices in many aspects of my care.

When I became pregnant with my second child, I wanted a VBAC(vaginal birth after cesarean) so badly. I began researching and educating myself as much as I could. I learned so much more than I had known before, but I still found myself after that birth realizing there was even more I wished I had known before going into labor.

That realization became a turning point for me.

I realized how powerful knowledge and support can be. I realized that families deserve access to information, encouragement, and someone who can help them navigate the many decisions that come with pregnancy and birth. Most importantly, I realized that no one should have to enter birth feeling like they don't know what they don't know.

That's why I became a doula.

My Philosophy of Care

I believe every family deserves to feel informed, respected, and supported regardless of how their birth unfolds.

I don't believe there is one "right" way to give birth. Every family, every pregnancy, and every birth is unique. My role is not to tell you what choices to make or what your birth should look like. Instead, I am here to provide evidence-based information, help you explore your options, support your decisions, and walk alongside you through the unexpected moments as well as the beautiful ones.

Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural, an induction, a planned cesarean, a VBAC, or you're still unsure what you want your birth to look like, you deserve compassionate, judgment-free support.

My goal is for you to feel heard, prepared, and confident in your ability to make the decisions that are right for you and your family.

A Little More About Me

When I'm not supporting families, I'm usually spending time with my husband and our three children. Motherhood is one of the greatest parts of my life and has taught me so much about strength, vulnerability, love, confidence, and the importance of having support.

I also enjoy creating personalized and handmade items, spending time with my family, and connecting with other parents in my community. I love creating spaces where people can feel comfortable, supported, and less alone. Which is one of the reasons I am so passionate about both doula work and building connections between families.
